From Humble beginnings in the early 50s, the Ophthalmic Department has come a long way. The fledgling department was started by Dr. Hari Mohan in 1957 and he was joined by Dr. Dev Raj Raheja in 1963. With the passage of time and ably supported by the management, the department of Ophthalmology now boasts of state of the art technology. The department is extremely busy with an average OPD attendance of 10,000 a year, giving holistic management and performing all kinds of simple and complex extraocular and intraocular surgeries.
